Have you ever considered On-Site Fueling?

How much time does it take your drivers to fuel their trucks? Would
that time be better utilized making deliveries rather then fueling
the trucks? How do I comply with the multitude of State and Federal
regulations for fuel storage tanks? What do I do about my increased
insurance premiums because we maintain fuel storage on-site? Who is
going to keep up the maintenance on the fuel tanks? If you have ever
asked yourself these types of questions, then we have something for
you to consider.
Nelson Oil’s On-Site Fueling service could be your answer to
new found efficiencies. During your downtime usually during the
evening hours our fleet is fueling your trucks right on your site.
When your drivers arrive to work your trucks are full of fuel and
ready to go. You have no valuable delivery time used up by fueling.
Example:
ABC Company has 20 trucks that use approximately 35 gallons of fuel
each day for a total of 700 gallons per day. ABC Company pays its
drivers $15.00 per hour (benefits & over time included) and it takes
each driver ½ hour to fuel the truck each day.
Let’s do the math:
20 trucks x ½ hour per truck to fuel = $150.00 to fuel the fleet
each day.
$150.00 divided by 700 gallons to fuel the fleet = $.214 per gallon
hidden cost to fuel.
So whatever ABC Company is paying for fuel add $.214 per
gallon to that cost.
